1. Using ApnaUSA

ApnaUSA is a free classifieds platform for the Indian & South Asian community in the USA. We host ads written by users; we are not a party to any rental, employment, sale or event arranged through the site, and we don't verify the accuracy of ads beyond confirming the poster's email address. By posting or browsing you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.

2. Posting rules

• Post only ads that are truthful, lawful and yours to post. One ad per room, job, item or event — no duplicates across cities or categories.
• Housing and job ads must comply with the Fair Housing Act, Title VII and applicable state laws. Stating a preference for a vegetarian household or a roommate's gender in a shared living space is generally allowed; excluding protected classes in a standalone rental or a job is not.
• Keep contact details in the contact section, not in the title. Use real photos of the actual room, item or event.
• You must be at least 18 to post.

3. Prohibited content

The following is never allowed anywhere on ApnaUSA — in ads, photos, messages or sponsor requests:

• Spam and scams — bulk or repeated postings, bait-and-switch, fake or misleading prices, advance-fee or deposit scams, “work from home” schemes, pyramid or multi-level marketing, crypto or investment “guarantees”, and requests to pay by wire, gift card or cryptocurrency.
• Adult and sexual content — pornography, nudity, escort or sexual services, “massage” ads implying sexual services, dating or hookup solicitations, and any sexual content involving minors (reported to law enforcement).
• Misleading or deceptive content — impersonating a company, landlord or recruiter; fake job offers; fake documents, visas, SSNs or credentials; counterfeit goods; misrepresenting an item's condition or a property's availability; and collecting personal information (passport, I-94, SSN, bank details) under false pretences.
• Illegal or dangerous items and services — weapons, drugs, prescription medication, stolen goods, recalled products, and anything that violates federal or state law.
• Hate, harassment and discrimination — content that attacks people based on religion, caste, national origin, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or immigration status, and any discriminatory housing or job ad prohibited by law.
• Abuse of the platform — automated posting, evading a block, posting on behalf of a blocked person, scraping user contact details, or interfering with the site.

4. Enforcement

We take this seriously so the community can trust what they see here. If an ad or a user breaks these rules:

• Reported. Every ad has a Report link and we review reports promptly. We may also detect violations automatically at the time of posting.
• Deleted. Violating ads — and any other ads from the same poster — are removed without notice and without refund of any sponsor fees.
• Access blocked. The email address (and, where needed, the network or device) is blocked from posting, contacting or advertising on ApnaUSA. Blocks are permanent unless we decide otherwise.
• Referred. Fraud, threats, exploitation of minors and other criminal activity are reported to the relevant authorities and we will cooperate with lawful requests.

We may remove any ad, sponsor placement or message at any time, for any reason, at our sole discretion.

5. Expiry, editing and removal

You choose how long an ad stays live (1 week to 6 months). Ads are deleted automatically at expiry, including images. Using the private manage link emailed to you, you can edit, extend or delete your ad at any time; anyone with that link can manage the ad, so keep it private. You can request a fresh link on the Manage page.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, cache and index it on ApnaUSA and in search engines for as long as the ad is live. Don't post photos or text you don't have the right to use.

7. Sponsored ads

Sponsored placements are sold separately and must follow the same content rules. We may decline or remove any sponsored ad that could mislead the community; fees for removed ads are not refunded.

8. Liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ApnaUSA is not liable for losses arising from transactions or interactions between users. Always follow our safety tips, meet in public places, and never pay a deposit before seeing a place or an item in person.
